August inspires oil paintings landscapes

Verbena flower.

Lazy days, vacation, slowing down includes the garden. Some plants take center stage. The lovely, sweet smell of phlox sweeps through my yard. The bright yellow color of black eyed Susan shines. Joe Pye holds tall and proud. And every year, the tiny flowers within the verbena flowerhead get me every time - purple joy.

As I reflect on these moments, I’m reminded of how nature often inspires my oil paintings landscapes, capturing the beauty and serenity of these scenes. These vibrant scenes of my garden, much like a landscape oil on canvas, offer endless inspiration.
